As far as I know, Vette guys, Mini Coopers and motorcycle guys exchanges waves, nods and thumbs up, but BMW's are just too common where I live.

The BMW following has been distorted, watered down, or whatever you wanna call it in the last twenty years. Its more consumer friendly now, or likely more consumer-Dumb with a fair share of today's Bimmer drivers not even knowing the difference between an i6 or an i4 or what the hell Rwd is.... its pretty pathetic, and very sad. People these days don't even know how to properly gear their vehicles anymore, six gears...? Psh more like one gear it doesn't make a difference as long as its aesthetically appealing to them. It's an honest shame at least five out of every ten Bimmer driver I've encountered couldn't even change their damn oil even if their life depended on it. Ugh... at least I have you guys

I can't believe some of these posts. Maybe the driver is just having a bad day...maybe the girl just told him that his dog died... you never know what is going on with someone... I am getting a sense of "better than thou" because someone has a Bimmer... you can't judge someone by thier car... people with the most money tend to invest in things that appreciate and will drive 20 year old cars to get from point A to B

I live in California where BMWs are as common as dirt. I have seen more Ferrari 599s out there than E9x M3s. So I can also attest that if we waved to everyone with a BMW, we would be waving all the time. Sometimes you don't look over at the person next to you because you are zoning on the fact that you have to sit through yet another f*&^ing light. I used to own a Honda S2000 and they were not as common (in fact where rare in comparison) so most owners including myself waved to other owners (but only S2000 owners, not all Honda owners).
