You people have serious size sticks up your asses. I wasn't trying to impress anyone, just stating a freakin fact. Again it's not surprising, you can see it just by checking the official 1/4 mile times on those cars. I understand that they are 2 different cars with a very different purpose. I am not suggesting that all Bentley owners dump their cars and get a 335... so beat it... and yeah happy 4th!

Yeah, it was through the canyons. I might even have a video of the guy on the SV, I was kind of taking it easy behind him. I wonder how quick the SV is in the qtr mile?

Seriously OP, I've had a go in one before and I completely believe your post. They're powered, yes, but they're 5600 pounds cars. I don't understand why people are freaking out about your posts. Go to dragtimes.
1) 12.510 114.050 2) 12.910 109.690 3) 12.910 108.510 5) 13.260 106.300 6) 13.400 106.000 Wow.. it's so fast.... not. The slower times are on par for a stock 335. The middle times are on par with a JB1/SSTT car. The oddball fast time was done with a Continental GT Speed edition that has 50 more horses. And even then it ran about as fast as a JB2HR or a V3. Haters need to get a life. No one's saying its a ferrari slayer, but yes, it can beat a big fat bloated luxury gt.

Nice, was it by 1 length, 1/2 length? This is a little off topic but, I'd rather take the Panthom over the Cont. GT.

Damn guys, the OP was just sharing a story..... Think about it when do you ever get to have a go at a Bentley??? So the fact that the OP did and actually pull it is something I'm sure everyone would tell somebody. How many times do you hear the "I beat a new M3" or "I beat a new IS-F", it's the same thing. I for one would like to know the little fact, that if for some odd reason I had a GT pull up to me I could take it. It's a nice thing to know. Another funny thing is that every forum has this little thing. Where if the car the forum is based off of beats something you really wouldn't think it would. Most of the time, their happy for the guy. Plus regardless if it's a "better" car, they don't sit there and put down the car they all own. Some of you are just pure ridiculous, give the guy some props.

C/D tested the Bentley and got it from 0-60 in 4.9, which is equivalent to a bone-stock 335i coupe -- the new Continental GT Speed does the deed in 4.4. Not surprising that a modded 335i beat a Bentley through 3rd gear - at higher speeds the Bentley with its 550-plus hp will catch up and walk away.
