Also,
If you want a manual V10, you buy a Gen5 Viper.

Seems like it would be a pain to get in and out of all the time since it sits so low (damn I sound old), and I don't like the interior as much as a Porsche with full leather and (if you can find it) deviated stitching. I'm partial to the black/red and black/yellow leather/stitching combos on a Porsche. You really need to drive them all and see how you feel....I've driven many cars that I thought looked great on paper, then I got in, went for a drive, and thought "eh....not that impressed", Range Rover specifically coming to mind, but plenty of others too.
Haha, I actually enjoy having to "roll" out of my R8. If someone parks close to you and there isn't enough room to open the door and "roll" out, it's quite difficult to exit the car...

In 2020, Porsche will change their 991 in a big way. Much of it is speculation at this point but the 992 will have substantial power increases, some hybrid options and the 992 turbo S will have allegedly 610-650hp. The spy shots looked ugly but I'm sure it will change a lot from now to production.

Are you planning to mod your cars for more power? Because the R8 is not a mod-friendly platform. ECU tunes don't give you any power and supercharging/TT you carry the risk of having to replace drivetrain components / transmission / clutch / engine if it grenades.

The best thing about the R8 is the sound. No forced induction engine compares to the Huracan / R8 v10 climbing through the revs. Throw on an aftermarket exhaust on the R8 and you're a sound God to enthusiasts everywhere. The only Porsche that comes close to the R8 is a 991.1/2 GT3 / RS with an IPE exhaust.

Good luck...
