Absolutely boring. On a track that usually offers plenty of excitement and passing opportunities we get a procession. Tire management, fuel management, can’t follow too closely the car in front because of aerodynamics, it has gotten awfully boring indeed.

Indeed. I've been a fan for decades but it's so dull now. And showing races on major broadcast networks is dumb. I missed most of this race because the local affiliate kept switching out to the weather guys because of a local tornado warning. I understand the need to do this on local channels, but if they'd keep the races on a non-local channel, it wouldn't happen.

Race concluded on lap 68...weird.
Saw that. Checkered flag waving before the end of the race. Screw the celeb flag waving. Let someone competent do it.

Celebrity was not at fault for flag snafu.

Did anyone noticed those extra overlay for the beer sponsor?
At some camera over at Turn 2, FOM computer added three stars on top of the grand stand, and also at Turn 9, the beer CGI star hovering above the exit of turn 9. Make it looked like a pinball machine.

That's just lame.

That sucks, but I was genuinely surprised that even on ABC, the network decided to broadcast the entire race with no commercials.

After the last 2 seasons or so, and this latest Canada race... I've come to this conclusion:

FIA needs to mandate 3 different compounds per race, not just 2. Cause everyone is just doing a one-stopper.

In recent races its all about everyone going slowly and watching each other's pace and what they're doing.

My suggestion is to mandate a 3 compound race, no one would be nursing tires anymore.

In Amsterdam centre once there was a drunk guy crawling through the streets and ending up at the tram (small public train in urban areas)rails.

So a tram had to stop to not run him over. The tramdriver took the intercom and spoke to the passengers: Sorry for the small delay, but there is a guy in front of us with Heineken's Disease. Tomorrow he willl be fine.

Cheers
Robin

That's the sad part..I don't drink! So I fell asleep sober due to the excitement of this race. Speaking of sadness, did anybody else think Kimi seemed depressed in his post race interview?

Kimi seems depressed every time he speaks. The most positive thing I've ever heard him say is "it went okay", like when he qualifies on pole.
