The original Top Gun was a huge part of my childhood, and TC is the shit (ignoring the crazy scientology crap).

It seems you didn't see my earlier post with regard to Ms. Johansson as the love interest in Top Gun 2 or, being a gentleman, you may be tactfully ignoring the post to save her feelings. I fully understand and admire your tact and grace.

I almost feel like I've failed by providing only one option. In order to remedy that error, please allow me to recommend Ms. Jennifer Love Hewitt. I know that you're familiar with Ms. Hewitt and her, um, body of work. Please let me know if she is satisfactory as the love interest in Top Gun 2.

If Holloywood remains predictible I bet the death of Kilmer's character will 'pull' Cruise out of retirement. It'll be odd for sure because IIRC Navy pilots are forced to retire at around 35.
