Buy: McLaren 570S
Mod: Either a vintage AC Cobra, vintage Mini Cooper, or a Toyota AE86 Have Best Bang for Buck: Probably either my second fiance or a gal I know who, at the time, worked for Newsday. But that's all I'm saying about either of 'em ...

If I had lots of money and was looking for one single car to use for trackdays, AutoX and daily driving... Well, lots of really nice cars like Porsche GT3 or Cayman GT4, McLaren and such I couldn't live with dailying. M3/M4/M5 are to big for the twisties for me. The versions of Camaro and Mustang that I'd like for the track are to hardcore for me to daily. Soooo..... I would actually buy the M2 again!!!! Yup!

any GM car with an LT4 is a beast with a tune and pulleys/cams/heads etc. zl1, z06, etc. all great cars. also love the rs7, and with downpipes and a tune, those things are basically untouchable. used, a c6 z06 with a cam and heads are a beast, can't go wrong with a 7.0Liter American v8. also always been a fan of the b5 Audi s4. those can make big power if modded right.

I would not buy and mod a new car because you are always going to lose out if you are worried about bang-for-buck...

ZL1 1LE is what I would choose. I love the aggressive look over the GT350.
Wheels and lowered a little and let it eat on the manufactures warranty. Tint and probably wrap the dash in Alcantera. The interior is still in need of help in the new Camaros. Oh and if it didn't come with the gray OEM tail lights, I would swap those on.

Depends on how extreme you wanna go, but zl1 is pretty damn hard to beat for the money. I would argue a mk7 gti with drop in hybrid would end up around a cheaper car and could keep up with the zl1 in the 1/4.

340i/335i. Dinan tune, fbo, and some M performance aesthetic mods will satisfy me. Warranty won't be a problem (local BMW dealership is a Dinan installer)

I'd take a new RS3. 400hp out of the box and a 10 second car with nothing but a tune. Stage 1 tune will give you an additional ~75hp and ~115lb ft of torque. Choosing between that or an M2 for similar $$$ would be a difficult task.

I won't be able in the financial condition to justify the 718 Boxster in the next few years, so I'm thinking of a Mustang GT until I can comfortably get the 718.
The Mustang was always a hunk of plastic junk but the current generation has changed that. It looks very sophisticated and European and the interior is pretty OK now too, it's global popularity reaffirms this. Bright blue on black wheels...hells yeah. |

Local dealer has a 2018 Mustang GT with only 2,350 miles for $29k. Still considered new in my book and took the depreciation hit. Add a rousch supercharger, keep the warranty, and for under 37K have yourself a 700+ hp toy.

ATS-V would get some attention from me. I like the idea of the Camaro, but they're absolutely everywhere and that's 100% a deal breaker in my opinion.

Still, as somebody else mentioned, you wouldn't buy a *new* car and modify it and then call it "good value". Best investing in a used car if you want to modify. With that in mind I'd go for a used Evo IX... Yours Aye Mark H
