Back several years ago, my neighbor who was 17 at the time asked me to loan him $500. I asked what for? He showed me the email where a 'Nigerian Prince' needed $1,000 (my friend had the other $500 saved up) to help his friend in America and in return the 'Prince' will pay him back $100,000 for his kindness. I laughed and smacked him in the head and told him it was a scam. This thing is so notorious that there are sites dedicated to catching these bastards.

yeah they will probably sue him ... bad decision... you better send me the parts, and ill ship it over to Nigeria for you... be sure to include a cashier's check or money order for $1000 along with it.

I will then give you a tracking number verifiable by TTY/FAX only.

How do you manage to fall for this? Doesn't it look obvious that it's a scam?

And what's funny is that you still don't understand what the email was about and had to post in forums for help...

Are they really automated? If so, that sucks. I went back and forth with one a few times. I ended up giving false address info, etc. Fianlly he asked me for my number to call and arrange for check delivery. Gave him number of local FBI office. Never heard from him again....
