Paid $1.388 per litre for 94 octane on the weekend (that converts to $5.25 per US gal). 2 weeks ago when travelling to BC for the Canadian long weekend I paid $1.489 per litre ($5.64/US gal) in Golden BC *Chevron 94 octane*

I've always understood that you can have engine "knocks" if your fuel doesn't have enough octane for a proper fuel/air combustion. I'm not sure how the Beemer's ECU handles that since I believe that it's programmed to do fuel/air adjustments to keep you engine from knocking. But I haven't tested this theory since the savings aren't worth possible damage IMO. I hope someone else might have better info on this issue...

Wait a second.............

Lets think about this.

Gas is what $1 more now than last year or so?

So its cost you an extra $16 to fill your tank

Big deal,,, if that really really crimps your lifestyle, you shouldnt be in a $50k car.

Everyone is buying in to all of the hype, tv coverage, radio reports, ect ect ect.

I bet if you write down each time you hear about gas prices each day it would really shock yourself.

$16,,,,,hum,,,,, what can you really get for $16.....a cd,, dinner?....

Or filling up 3 times a month, $48. If less than $50 kills your budget,, its not the gas you should be bytching about.

I hope gas hits $6-$8 soon. We the people are the only ones that are going to have a say about getting off f'ing oil. Time to get the "other" types of energy going,, like 5 minuetes ago.

Im just sayin'.

$4.489 for V-Power today in Renton, WA. I'm pretty sure it's gone up about 25 cents in 2 weeks.
