Learned on a manual. I personally don't think you should be able to get a drivers license w/o being able to drive a stick. My kids will not be able to get a DL without knowing how to drive a stick and change a tire.

I learned MT first when I started driving. Just because its good to learn this from the very start, than learning it after you have learned how to drive with a AT. For me, it made it easier.
