ouch... my gf says to look at the date u got the last ticket which you went to 8-hour traffic school. If it's been 18 months since then, you should be eligible for the 8 hour and the ticket will be wiped. This is all irregardless of the 12 hour traffic school and other ticket. gf works in the traffic dept at la superior court...

Damn, Boost, sorry man. Maybe the BMW and you are not meant for each other..maybe a Corolla?! j/k
Moral of the story is, if any, slow it down..keep it below 80's going through towns...it just aint worth it...I've been relatively safe keeping it 80's and below since I haven't gotten passed the 18-month period yet :-) Good luck, dude.

damn, I have always thought that cops rarely patrol the toll roads.. ha, i've never seen one .. what time of day was it? and which freeway exactly? was it CHP or local sheriff/police?
regardless, you should show up to court that day and pray the cop doesn't show up.. that's an automatic win. |

Sorry to hear about your problem, hope it works out for you. Here's a site I used to fight a moving violation ticket successfully http://www.ticketassassin.com
And something for your lead foot http://www.escortradar.com/srx.htm

Whats it matter, CA speed limit is 65 in every lane, by law. I was about to exit the freeway, there were no cars, and it doesn't mention that on the ticket.

Neema, sorry to hear man.
In some traffic schools, they state that going 25+mph over the speed limit is considered reckless driving. And they also state that if you are cited for reckless driving, you cannot attend traffic school and that it is considered a 2 point violation. However, here is the definition of reckless driving in the CA vehicle code: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d11/vc23103.htm It does not specify any particular mph overage to be considered reckless driving. However, there is loose language that says "A person who drives a vehicle upon a highway in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving." What violation of the vehicle code did he exactly cite you for?

Sorry to hear dude. A good lawyer can get that reduced to simple speeding though. Might cost a couple grand but it's worth it. I was in a simmilar situation almost exactly a year ago.
