Agreed re: that tile floor, great looking stuff! They are doing some amazing stuff in tile these days.
We are getting ready to redo our master bath and the marble tile alone was a third of the cost of the project! We found a great porcelain tile that looks just like the marble we like at a third of the cost, a no brainer there!

THIS!!!!! It's bad enough when I get out of shower with texture on the tile. The wife wants to redo with 36" smooth tiles. My feet ain't big enough to straddle grout lines that far apart for traction.

So while we are on the subject of marble... Guys I am soooooo excited about the special delivery today!!!! Still waiting on several pieces to complete, but I must share THIS... It exceeds my expectations on how it came out and the perfect match to the entire room. I hand selected this particular marble to go on top. Thoughts?

Looks great! Any chance you can post a wider angle shot to see it better?

Understood. Looking forward to seeing the finished bar! Is it the light or does the marble have a bit of red to it?

Your guys' stuff looks great.
Just finished one myself... heh. Lot's of light colors - Glass, porcelain, and quartz all around... Light is not great and the kitchen looks better now that the hardware is on... but you get the gist. |

OP- I don't mean to be a fun sponge (and correct me if I missed it), but is the "major" part of the remodel just new tile and paint? Don't get me wrong it looks great, but by far from a major remodel. We gutted our entire main floor (kitchen, bathrooms, living room, foyer, etc) and reconstructed it from the ground up a little over a year ago. Was kind of expecting a similar project with the title of this thread.
That looks great! Very clean. Did you do the work yourself? |

We essentially took two areas (Dining and Living) and converted them into one (Lounge) with an entirely new look from the floor up and wall to wall. For me, I would as soon move before gutting out entire walls or anything involving new plumbing/piping or electrical changes/additions.

Thanks. We did some ourselves, but some we contracted. This was does to drywall and a couple walls were moved. I don't have all those skills (or tools, or helpers). The island is a "full slab" of Quartz, so it was fun watching 4 dudes try to move that. Also, for the DIYers, recycled glass tile (like in the shower) is not for the faint of heart. We moved down from up north some years ago and this is our first attempt to really go with the warm weather look. Up north we had all wood and colors to "warm the place up". Down here we are trying to "cool the place off"
Thanks to you too TXSTYLE and P1et. Any way, thanks for starting the thread, OP. Fun to see all this stuff. |
