Beyond that up to you radio etc, if I was ordering I don't think I would check the PCCB box. I had a 987 Boxster S that I bought new when the first came out (significant for dealer experience). Dealer experience was very good. The loaner car situation is not as good as BMW, my dealer had a couple of Cayenne loaners, but I would often end up in a cheap rental (I had a Cayenne S and a Boxster S at the same time, so I would end up getting service fairly regularly). My sales guy was a track instructor and got me into tracking my car and I loved it. The service department was cool, they knew that my car saw track use (tire ware and a couple mods my have tipped them off) and they adjusted the suspension the be as track focused as possible and still in spec at no charge. I almost forgot, my girlfriend (wife now) and I were invited by Porsche NA to be guests at cirque du soleil in San Francisco, they put out a nice spread, good drinks, good food, private entrance and tent for the show.....I need to buy another Porsche! speaking of options... they are the best at making everything an option and charging a pretty penny for them. they also make you feel like you need "just one more option".
i have a good number of options and all past bmw's i got every option i could but looking back at the porsche, i don't need any of them really. i think the chrono would be nice. the fun of driving the car is more than enough though. i guess maybe if it's a DD the more options the better. still not necessary imo. i wish the gt4 or even the gts was out when i bought mine - they come with all the options you need... three pedals.

They really do nickle and dime every option. I'm not interested in painted key fobs but the PCCB, fire extinguisher, sport chrono package, and full buckets (will have to try them) are on the list.
The only concession will be bi-xenon headlights in black, PCM, and seatbelt in guards red. Question...can Porsche retrofit existing models with options? |

C5driver if the mark up isn't extreme I would grab the car in a heartbeat. It's the best car I have personally driven hands down. Don't let all these people disuede you because of the long gearing. Yes it's long but it doesn't take away from the experience at all. The exact same gears are in the cayman s and no one ever complained about those.
As far as options go the less options the better. There are no must have options as all the performance upgrades are standard except for pccb. Those however are a waste on this car as the steels are already oversized. All the other options just add unnecessary weight. Carbon buckets are cool but wouldn't be great if you daily it and arnt supportive enough if it's a dedicated track car. I wouldn't go 18 way either as the standard seats weigh less and have plenty of adjustment in them. |

options shmoptions
I have a really basic 2016 CS, 6 speed manual, x73 suspension, 20 inch wheels and sport design steering wheel, that's it, and I can tell you the car is an amazing joy to drive.
I can only imagine a GT4 offers an even more amazing driving experience. as gtron put it above, the three pedals really are key, the rest is gravy |

If you want more opinions, post your question here.
http://rennlist.com/forums/gt4-235/ Be prepare for some heated discussion. There is a reason why those cars are still available. 25k over MSRP. If money is no object, go for it. |

I drove the M235, M3, and M4 on a closed course and wasn't too impressed with either the weight or power delivery out of the corners of both the M3 and M4. I preferred the M235 for it's weight and quickness. The M6 will continue to be in the stable. |
