okay a thought just flashed in my head- I wonder how long until they put that bi-turbo V8 engine in the new M3??? If they were to do that I'm sure it will piss off a lot of people who lined up to buy the NA V8.

People believe that they will never put Force Injection in an M3, which is probably the reason they went to a V8 instead of something like the 4.4 TT engine in the X6. Who knows though.

Thanks for your review. Are you sure you didnt switch drivers once you left the dealership?

hahahahah But Yeah I dont think I'll drop my 335 for an M3... beautiful and gorgeous but BMW just out did themselves with the 335, and although its no M3... i'll have all the hookups soon enough and im content with that

Dont get me wrong its really a great car but i guess i was expecting more of a rip you in your seat then i did. My 335 has way more of that feeling. No doubt the M3 is probably faster than it feels im just stating how it "felt"
Honestly my friend has an E46 M3 and that car actually feels faster. I was a bit confused after getting out of the car. A couple times i even checked to make sure we had the M Mode on. I wish we tested the dam Launch Control though i completely forgot about that. |

It would get interesting if you slapped on a LSD and a stiffer suspension on the 335, otherwise no competition.

ummm huh? i disagree very much so i just think the LSD will mke a bigger difference. M3 is amazing, but bone stock against a fully loaded modded 335i? idk there are 335s wielding up to 416 rwhp

Let's fast forward a few months...
"The 335i with (x mods) is nice, but it's no 135i that's for sure. I doubt I would ever trade up from my 135i to a 335i just to get the extra status." |

Drove The Car In Miami
I drove this same car today in Miami. I have driven plenty of fast cars and this car feel very fast. If you go into it expecting too much, like anything, you will be disappointed. I had read so much on the exhaust note and how it comes alive only after a certain RPM... that I actually found it incredibly appealing even at lower revs. I saw somebody take off and it sounded pretty damn loud from the sidewalk. Im sure we'll all find pleasant surprises where least expected and be disappointed where not. It is ultimately an amazing car by any standards, and I am sure all of those expecting one will not be disappointed. Its a hard sell for any 335 owner, no doubt. (Im just glad I opted for a 328 in 2006, expecting the new M3 in the near future).

Naw, more of a earn your own money and buy the car with your own money then you get respect. Not "Daddy got me a 335i for 18th bday and now daddy is going to buy me a M3 when i turn 21"

RRGOO7,
Sorry mate for keep bringing up things but maybe with some clarification on a few things. 1/ Is the 335i moddied and if so what has been done, this may explain why even at 6000rpm the M3 felt weak. 2/ The M3 your father drove, you said it had 1100miles, as it a manual or the new DCT? Footie. |

He has an AA XEDE, 2.5" Turboback quad exhaust, Catless DP's. 6MT. Yup he is young, but he has never acted like a little prick like some of the other fortunate young members on here. Just my .02 His is pretty much the same feeling I had after driving the Audi S5. Great car, but not enough grunt for me. Now the upcoming RS5 is another story.
