Saw one at highway speeds yesterday, white with blue stripes. Looks bad ass on the streets.

They'd be better off with a square setup. 295s all around or 305s. Who knows, maybe that 10mm tire width difference is perfect for this car.

At least they didn't decide to do like they have before, or like Dodge, with some regular sized tires that come on a 5.0 or SRT8.

Me too but MY2017 when all the bugs have been worked out and ADM is all but forgotten.

Don't be baffled. The GT350 and GT350R will be far better road course machines than any street legal M.

Let's see how the FPC engine holds up. I'd like to buy one of these after college. I won't be able to afford a ferrari so the FPC in a mustang will have to do lol.

That's what I'm curious to see as well. FPC engines generally require more maintenance, I think this car will be more expensive to own that a high end Merc/BMW and I don't know if most people will maintain them well.

No way. The voodoo 5.2L will eventually be available as a crate engine, at half the cost of a S55. Lets not forget this is a $48k car.

For real. I'm loving the stock and aftermarket part costs. The EB 2.3L is cheap as f*ck to fix in case you blow a turbo or mess up the block. The short block is ~$1500. The bare block is ~$700. The turbo itself is ~$1100. Not that the mass-produced 2.3L is an apples-to-apples comparison with the Voodoo, but still. You don't get curb stomped with stupid high prices in these cars and they're easier to work on.

What extra maintenance that is tied to the crank and the base engine (not every other part of the car and accessories to the engine)?

I can't see the crank and firing arrangement adding to the maintenance.

Whenever I read this I always wonder what it means.

Without an actual written deal it seems like this is no more than a "call at some point so we can talk about it". Maybe it means you are on a list so they can go down it and try to get the highest bidder (would be tough to give a great deal to #1 of the 20 people on the list)?

You also aren't paying anything now so not much to lose, just wondered.

I'm not concerned with parts cost necessarily, more worried about maintenance intervals. FPC motors are inherently unbalanced and vibrate like crazy, which wreaks havoc on bushings and small tolerance fittings. So your parts and labor may not be any more expensive than a regular GT, but it will definitely be in the shop more often. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford requires a robust yearly engine service.

Aren't they running balance shafts? Is it really going to be any worse than an I4 or V6?

Don't be, a GT350-R will run circles around an M3.

Only downside is that I'd imagine the GT350 especially the R model, won't be very comfortable as a DD.
