How will a dealer mark these up while having to mark other Vipers DOWN by $10k?

Sales are constating an issue with this car. There is no way they can be making money on these things when they sell so few. Yes, the price cut increased sales for a little (108 cars in 1 month), but at the time they had an inventory of 18 months I believe. This new car is an extremely focused track weapon. It's not going to really boost sales much at all. I can't imagine the development costs that went into it and it'll translate to maybe 150 cars sold! Total production estimate from 2014 was 989 cars. That's 82 cars per month. In comparions, Chevy sold 37,288 Stingrays in 2014 or 3107 cars per month. I can't help to wonder if Dodge would put together a full-blown assembly plant in order to ramp up production and drop in the Hemi from the SRT program so it'll make over 485hp and drop the price down to around $65K.

You know, the Miata is fun on the track. The ACR will be work and anxiety. This will be too fast for me on the track. Would require concentration and focus all the time. In that sense would be even worse than my GT3RS. I am tracking the Miata more and more and the RS less these days!!

Yeah my buddy regularly tracks his 997 Turbo (w/ Venom 620 kit) and he says it's far too fast for the track.

Since we're talking about it:
I don't get the point of modern track ready supercars. They are great to look at, and certainly a feat of technological development and display, but they don't serve much of a point beyond that. I certainly wouldn't buy one. Too fast for the street, and too fast for the track. So where do you explore the limits? You can't. Better to buy a car you can enjoy 100% than a car you can enjoy only 20% before it tries to kill you (or does).

Yes, its $122,490 including the gas guzzler tax, $2100, and $2495 destination charge. Don't know about the options but I wouldn't see it having many. Orders took place in May, I believe and car testers, like car and driver and road and track, have already driven it around a track.
I'm sure dealers (not all of them) are going to mark it up but by how much? Who knows. |

I think this car for that price is a steal of this century. Not only it looks fantastic, it should destroy any street legal car with the exeption of Laferrari which costs $1.5 million

Went to my local dodge dealer and optioned out an acr for $160k Canadian before tax. No mark up. I was conservative with the options and put on roughly $15k extra.
Still thinking if I should do it. |

I would do it in a heart beat but unfortunately cant afford it at this time. There is another car i would consider which is a new Porsche GT3 RS, but its much more expensive and will get destroyed by this beast on the track |
