Those ribs look delicious. I'd like to pick up a little smoker grill to use with ribs and whatnot. Only having a small patio space with my townhouse though, I'm not sure my neighbors or the HOA would like me using a smoker.

My wife bought me our first one as a father's day present about 12 years ago. I loved that little 3-burner. One day I decided to ream out all the holes in the burners and ruined it ; ( I donated it to the baseball team and they still use it.

Then she got me this huge stainless thing that I never could get right. Finally the burners quit passing the gas thru, so I went and bought another little-r one.

My go-to to ensure a great tri-tip grilling is a nice rubbing of Montreal steak seasoning, and plenty of Jack Daniels. IF I don't drink any Jack, the grill just doesn't work right. . .

That grill is legendary! I've never used one but have had Q cooked in one. Great results! Also, I believe it'll be perfect for 2. Just portion your cooking.

This is the current old faithful.

Komado Joe i am looking at picking up.

This is similar to what i'm thinking of making. About 50% wider than this with the webber countersunk on the opposite end leaving the open counter top in the middle.

Edit: Looks like i'm not the first one with that idea.

Nice setups! I think that'll be a great idea.

This Weber was double the cost of my last grill. But without even cooking on it, I can tell it is money well spent. And I've read where folks have used their Weber for a decade! All of the stainless steel, it's heavy, and I'm loving the tank fuel level reader! Although I always keep a spare tank on hand, it's great to know when I will almost be empty.

Here's some ribs I did previously...

Tried a different seasoning tactic over the traditional dry rubs:

Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, Garlic, Salt and Pepper.

WOW...!

This was some of the tastiest ribs I have EVER had! And I have eaten plenty from various barbecue spots.

No I only use hardwood charcoal. Who just turns a switch and fire on ? Preparing and lighting the fire is half the fun! In Hawaii we have Kiawe which is a type of Mesquite. I have also discovered that Guava is really good. Over here we call grilling Pulehu and/ or Hibachi. I want to find a true old style ceramic Kamato which is a Japanese kettle grill great for slow cooking.

LOL. theAxiom beat me to it.

This would be a great thread for us to show our grills.
I have nothing to show for, but I do have Portable 13" grill from walmart.
It serves our purpose.

Me, too. But I suck at it. No matter how patient I am, I always seem to rush the charcoal prep. Then I end up with a cool spread. I need to set a timer and not watch the chimney.

Those ribs look awesome, TXSTYLE.

I actually have a large fire pit at my house, and I'll burn through a stack of about 25 logs of mesquite or oak and then use that for my BBQs. I have a chimney, fill that with lump charcoal and just let it burn for a good 20-30 minutes before putting it over the grille. Then I add my piece of mesquite and oak afterwards.

Same here. Made some pork chops, New York strips and baked potatoes. Threw an entire log of mesquite on there and it made a big difference.

Thumbs up

So this is only my second time cooking on this grill because of all the non-stop rainfall. But here we have chicken breasts marinated nearly 30hrs in a Mediterranean white wine garlic and lemon marinade grilled to perfection. I have cooked plenty of chicken and eaten plenty out. This was some of the absolute tastiest I've EVER had! Will be preparing again soon...

Try to dial down the heat a tad, hate to be a wuss but that's a lot of charcoal, mounting evidence it's carcinogenic.
