Exciting race! When that ferrari lost it at the end it was great. Looks like the changes to bmw's chassis has made them more competitive.... should be interesting to see the next race. Corvette, ferrari and bmw will be duking it out!

BMW's are more suited for the shorter sprint races, especially on the tight street courses. They have the most downforce in the class.

Corvette is designed first and foremost to win 24hr Le Mans, so it excels at more open tracks with long straights(Road America, Road Atlanta, Daytona, etc.)

BMW should be quick at Laguna Seca as well (more technical track).

I randomly meet Bill Auberlen at Lake Havasu this weekend. I had no clue who he was and probably wouldn't have if I hadn't said something about BMW.

It wasnt until I mentioned something about BMW or me having a couple that he told me who he was.

I didn't spend THAT much time with him, but the few times we were all on the beach with our boats he was a very friendly, humble and pleasant guy to be around. Heck, he even helped me carry a bag of grocery's to my condo which was next to his this weekend.

All in all he was a really nice guy and I'm happy to have meet him.
