Judging by the comments already I know you are going to hate this...

Yeah it's time BMW stopped doing this, it's just insulting to customers in 2015. Now if only they did it with naturally aspirated engines...

Gorgeous! Can't wait to see them in action.

Seems like they may be high maintenance. I wonder what happens if one of those rings goes out? I guess I'm not entirely sure how it even works. Looks too cool though.

I'll be there and make sure to check it out. Mercedes is also launching a new concept car that will be exciting.

No way. What will happen is first there will be incandescents on the new models, then a 2 year LCI to LED, then a 2 year "LCI+" to OLED. And then in in 2020 it will start over at incandescents again.

This is the most likely scenario given how BMW has professed their undying love for the Edison-style incandescent bulbs over the last decade plus, regardless of every other luxury maker moving on to LEDs.

Just saw the CES showcasing of the headlights and yes they are amazing. Now only if they would stop equipping 80% of their cars with halogens
Like others have stated "Look everyone at out new state of art laser headlights" that only comes with every other lci before we go back to halogens. I think the laser headlights and tail lights improve visibility and safety tremendously but its only useful if its actually on the cars and not a 3,000 dollar option that most dealers will opt out of ordering.
