This time of year is especially wonderful to me. Fall/autumn thru Winter in the southeast. It starts out nice with a nice temperature in between 60°F and 70°F and a nice, cool breeze. Then the leaves start turning yellow, orange, and red, and start to fall to the ground. I like going on hikes around that time of year. Just spending extended periods out in nature, enjoying the peace and tranquility. Looking up at the stars (no light pollution where I live!). Just taking in everything. And now, as it gets closer and closer to winter, the temperatures start dropping down around 30°F to 50°F, and things really start to get good.
Not to mention all of the food and scents that come around this time of year. I'm a sucker for egg nog, pumpkin pie, turkey, etc. And just the smell of fallen leaves and that nice, cold air. As it gets colder and colder, everything just seems to look more and more beautiful. I like enjoying time at home around this time of year as well (whether it's with friends or family or both), breaking out the fall/winter scented candles, sitting by the fire, sipping on a nice glass of whiskey (@Lups ) or hot cocoa, sitting around watching tv, putting up decorations, wearing ugly sweaters, anxiously awaiting snow etc. It just makes me feel good and warm inside, haha. Not to mention all of the holiday-themed shows/movies on tv, which I'm (admittedly) a sucker for. But most importantly, I just hope I get to see snow this year! I was stuck in Miami last year, and we got over a foot up here. :| Snow has always seemed so magical and wonderful to me, so hopefully I'll get to enjoy it this year. |

Fuck that, I left Michigan to get away from the snow. I now learned I didn't go far enough south. LOL
JK, I don't mind snow when it comes a few times a year, it's when I had to park in front of my parents house and shovel my car out for an hour every morning before work. |

I really enjoy the sound of church bells, along with the sound of a train going by. I grew up next to four railroad tracks and it always made me sleep so soundly when the diesel locomotives would drive by.

Rain at night is nice. A good day on or in the ocean. And a good companion to share it with.

FINALLY a reasonable post. The rest of this thread contains enough sap to produce a gallon of maple syrup.
Billup better have one hell of a punchline planned or I'll be mortally disappointed.

I went out with a buddy tonight. I went up to a group of 3 chicks, one of them was finnnneeeeee as hell, and this fucker said we should go to this other bar. I lost my chance. Pissed the fuck off because he and his "pick up" buddy wanted to move around but neither closed on shit. My punchline would have been much better if I were alone tonight. |

This needs to go into the "You know you're getting old..." thread, which seems to have died.

He was trying to talk to these girls about if girls having sex lots makes them a slut and if a guy having lots of sex makes him something or other. I don't even remember, but the cute girl I was talking to was like "why and how did we even get on this topic". Better yet, I just walked away and called him flat out, didn't think he did a thing wrong and that girls want to talk about that. I ended up ditching him and just went home. So what makes me appreciate life is that I've realized I am not delusional or living in some fantasy land in my head. |

No such thing as rude in OT. And this thread needed some balance.
(Besides, I was just kidding.)
