BMW is really looking to kill their brand i see.

If it’s not the hideous styling, the dumb stuck on computer screens, the price increases, and now finally removing the engines that ppl actually want. Really sad to see.

It's not on my list of G60 models I know about, and I believe there are no other models in the pipeline, at least not until the LCI.

550e will offer the desired level of performance. Only the people who look at the shape of the engine block cover will notice the difference.

It used to be unthinkable not to have the V12 option for a 7er. Ask anyone who bitched about its loss if they still care or have moved to a different make.

Surely you can’t compare popularity of the V8 in the 5er vs the V12 in 7 series.
M550i and previous V8 5series were important models. Its what made BMW special, now its just going away.

Even MB is bringing back the V8 to the C63 amg.

I totally can.

Both give you two things, and two things only:

1. Performance
2. The feeling of a larger sized penis.

(1) is now offered by the B58+EM combo. (2) was never real anyway.

SOP for the M560e is 7/24, obviously a 2025 MY. US Market.

This is the “replacement” for the current M550i, albeit a hybrid.

565hp…B58 + EM….the biggest question at this point, for me at least, is curb weight.

That’s good. Hopefully base wheels won’t be atrocious.

Only one petrol engine with RWD. BMW has lost his way. My next car will be Audi. It has much better all wheel drive than BMW. Here in Europe You have only 520i with RWD.

Times have certainly changed. The BEV is the performance trim/spec. I’m sure the i5 M60 will thrill in straight line performance. I’m curious how the i5 will handle compared to it’s ICE counterparts. From these available models, I think the 540i X drive will sell well in the US market just based on price and likely some decent performance.

Wait, we didn't get the 545e G30, but now we get the 550e G60? What? BMW, what are you hiding from us?

This is rather funny coming from someone who owns an F80.

The F3x and F8x got so much hate for the "tacked on/afterthought screen".

But let me guess, the screen in your car is great and how it should be and they ruined it with the newer ones right?

I'm confused; the "Future BMW model information" thread still shows:

G60
In production until 06/30.
11/23: adding worldwide 530e (B48M2+EM, 295hp), 530e xDrive, and 550e xDrive (B58U2+EM, 480hp), US 540i xDrive (B58M2, 370hp) and 550e xDrive.
03/24: adding worldwide and US i5 xDrive40.
07/24: Adding worldwide 540d xDrive (same engine as 740dx) and US M560e xDrive (B58M2+EM, 565hp).
03/25: i5 models refreshed (unknown what exactly will change).

Is the M560e no longer coming to the US?

Well, from your post, it is absolutely coming to the USA by July next year!

Well, the best source of information here has no news so I guess we just wait it out.

As I was getting my personal consultation with a product specialist in the new G60 at the Welt yesterday, I mentioned how Americans really wanted the M3 touring as one passed by. Then said something about we’re supposed to get the M5 touring instead. His response was indefinite as if to say it’s not coming to the US. And yet he was very clear/precise in answering most other questions. It may be nothing, or just another data point. We’ll see.
