My traffic and my e-cim started working but I still can't send remote request to my car it's failing

Everything seems to be working again, including DAP.

My MyBMW app was very sluggish however. Seems better once closing the app and restarting the phone; just closing did not do it. Suspect it was jammed up from the prior attempts to connect to the servers.

Mygarage has been unavailable for a week and is not related to the storm. BMW has no idea when it will be functional again.

I would say BMW needs a larger software team that can keep their systems working.

Interestingly, this morning after things started working again I got an alert in the dash and a spoken message from the car while driving that hands-free driving was now available.

Our app updated range, battery/fuel, location, time and date for our M8 and i cars....but remote commands still fail

BMWFS is based in Hilliard, OH a suburb of Columbus in the center of the state. Most likely where their servers are as well. I drove through Columbus Friday, when Helene made landfall 800 miles south and just some rain. Ohio’s biggest weather risk is tornados mainly in the spring.

I have forgotten about that. I did the update and some things took forever to activate unconnected drive. I’m still waiting for a few things, but everything looks good. I like the new widget.

App is more stable and a lock command worked, but climate command failed.

License expired warning for Driving Assistance Plus is now gone and under Driving in iDrive, it is no longer grayed out and the option is toggled green....but I have not been on the highway to test.

Key card deactivation message, appears gone

Traffic info and traffic light/stop sign warnings are still gone

Climate SYNC bug still there

So progress this morning, I think. LOL. Happy Monday everyone!

Climate sync I knew something was up with that because I keep having to turn that back on so it's not me you think that was the update or is it the outage

I just tried it on mine. OUTSIDE got to the "Taking pictures (2/3)" stage and just stayed there for a long time, then came up withe a "Something went wrong" error.

The INSIDE option worked fine. I then re-tried the OUTSIDE option and that one worked too, so all appears to be working again for me.

I was able to reboot the iDrive and got all my remote start working but now my ESIM is telling me that three or four three out of four conditions are met I don't know if it's still waiting to finish configuring I don't know

OTA Update caused this. It is a KNOWN bug that only affected the current 7 Series, and yet somehow BMW software engineers let this slip into other models. I am really annoyed; this is absurd at this point!

I have noticed I have the climate control sync issue a well.

And I still can't get either outside or inside remote camera view to work. Outside hangs on waking up and inside gets stuck on taking photo. Tried updating apps and services and double iDrive reboot to no avail.

PLEASE take that time to contact BMW technical and/or the iGenius line. They need to know that customers want this climate SYNC issue fixed. Thanks.
