I need one of you nerds to help me. Building a home office set up. Looking to buy two monitors. Mainly between the sizes of 21.5"-24". What do you recommend?

Little bit of everything. Web browsing, light photo/video editing, entertainment, etc. It's a MacBook Pro with Retina.

See the above post. Not looking to go crazy. Let's keep it under $200 per monitor.

Would you consider a single ultra wide display rather than two 1080 panels?

The wider display will benefit greatly when you're scrubbing through the timeline as you're editing videos. Maybe something with an IPS panel for color accuracy.

I like LG monitors. This one is nice. If you try running 2, you're going to need a dongle for hub for one of the monitors.

Dell monitors are also good.

Alternatively, you could go ultra widescreen and get roughly the same screen space, without the need for a dongle or hub...

I saw the ultra wide displays. They look pretty cool. Only thing is, I'm not sure if my computer can support the 21:9 aspect ratio. It's not the newest MBP on the market. So I honestly don't know.

Nice recommendations!

Also, my MBP has two Thunderbolt ports. Should just need two Thunderbolt to HDMI adapters.

It should be able to handle the aspect ratio. This is my setup, it's on my Mac Pro right now, but my MacBook Pro handled it with no problems.

Wait. If you have the new MacBook Pro, with 2 ports, it's gonna be hard to get 2 monitors running off those 2 ports.

Unless you have a monitor with USB-C, or a dongle with pass through, powering the computer could be an issue.

Apple claims it can support two external monitors in addition to the built in one. I won't be using the built in one when docked.

Woops. Read one of your posts wrong. In that case, the dongle method will work!

My boss is cheap. Running two acer monitors. More than enough for what we use them for and they were only like 100 bucks each.

I just realized that since I will be docking my MBP in closed clamshell mode, I'm going to need some speakers. Shit. Lol

Time to find some speakers!

Me too. Except 27", because no matter what they say, size matters.
