Sharks for win!!! I love the magical after call for a major when you give somebody a concussion while they're bleeding everywhere. Sharks were like 16% on the power play. Statistically they should never score 4 goals in five minutes.

Nobody would've seen that coming especially a sharks fan in April. Sharrrrrrrks!!!

Was not a major penalty. Pavelski is a pussy. Watch the replay and be honest with yourself.

"Pavelski's head hit the ice, opening a cut. He was helped off with Joe Thornton holding a towel to his head. However, replays show Eakin cross-checking Pavelski to his chest, then Pavelski stumbling backward and then being knocked to the ice by Paul Stastny.

A major penalty is a discretionary call. Neither referee Eric Furlatt or Dan O'Halloran signaled a penalty when the event occurred. But while Pavelski was being treated, Eakin was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct."

That was a brutal injury, looked like the whole top of his melon split open.

I'm NOT a VGK fan, except that they were playing the sharkies. Eakin deserves the cross-check penalty, but that's about it. Stastny was more "get off me" and then gravity took over. Brutal that there was blood on the ice, but not sure if it warranted the major/ejection. IF the x-check had occurred in a vacuum without that odd brush-off by Statsny, I don't think we would have seen blood.

What we don't know is if Eakin said something to indicate some higher level of animosity/taunting that combined with the x-check warranted the major.

So...the more I look at it, the more the call becomes weak. That cross check occurs 50 times a game in front of the net or in the corners. Do question it being a penalty...much less a double minor...or the 5 minute that was called. Hope Joe P is okay...but nothing more than an unfortunate incidient that he got hurt on.

That said...being real, you play the hand you're dealt. WTF is VGK doing, giving up 4 goals in 4 minutes. The bad call is not an excuse for weak ass play. Kudos to come back and tie...forcing the OT. But Vegas lost a game they should have had. Not the refs fault.
