It sucks. Even though my ex got brutal, bitter and vengeful through the divorce, it was like someone died. We were together 23 years, which was more than half my life. You just have to let it run it's course. You're going to be mad and sad. I locked myself away for a few months. I didn't want to deal with anyone but I set a goal for myself. I signed the papers in early February. I had a trip planned for late April to meet some friends in FL. I told myself that the old me was getting on the plane and the new me was getting off. When I got off the plane, my mourning was over. It's a very personal thing, deal with it however you see fit. Everyone is going to have opinions and give you advice. They mean well but just do you. It will get better. Hang in there. Look on the bright side - at least it was quick. It took three years for me from separation to divorce.

Now I should go back and read this for myself because I'm pretty fucking pissed right now and can't get past it. After 9 years the prick didn't even call or text me when my dad passed away. I'm done with men. The first one took a chunk of change and the second ripped my heart out of my chest and stomped it into little pieces.

Yes and no. Office job, but typically large stacks of paper are not the norm. We've advanced to a society where more data is stored rather than keeping paperwork on-hand. This way when we need something, there is a catastrophic network issue, preventing us from doing something we could accomplish in 5 minutes before we technologically advanced ourselves.

Never use drywall screws to mount anything of any significant weight. Either find a stud or use these.

That duct tape didn't help much did it? I'd be more appreciative to the fact that when the bike/rack fell that it didn't damage the drywall than being exposed to asbestos; but then again, had it damaged the wall, you'd need to be worried about both. Buy those toggle bolts in the link I posted, follow the instructions and mount that bitch back to the wall.

You weren’t sniffing the holes again were ya? You should be ok.
You should look up how to do that mounting properly, drywall you need anchors.
Hate to post cross thread but curious, did you meet Pickle?
Really! I'm a girl and I KNOW you need anchors.

Bro.....sorry to hear. I'd be lying if I didn't say that both of the ex-wives took a part of my soul with them. Definitely a redefining chapter in your life. My only advice. Don't date for a while. Go do shit you enjoy doing. Learn to be happy with life without someone in it first.

We scan everything. Not exactly sure what all the paper is about. I on the other hand do tend to print out stuff instead of working on my computer, like say excel spread sheets if I'm doing a bid or something. Can't teach an old dog new tricks I guess.

The one who sits behind me, prints PO's on one printer, takes the PO's to another printer to scan them......back to herself, to then email them. Of course, everyone else is an idiot but her. If I were the captain, she'd be fired over paper and toner usage alone. Understanding how the equipment works should be part of being a professional. I tried to explain once, that she could save the file and then email it as an attachment. She looked at me like I was trying to explain quantum mechanics.

My offer is and has been valid. Give me a call if you want to talk, I'd say I'm a good listener.

I went to cash a few weeks ago on my 401K. Yesterday I was kicking myself in the ass. Today, not so much.

I would say take it to the gym, but I found that when I'm pissed, I havea great workout. When I upset about something that I can do nothing about, it's not the same. Projects during this time is key. Work on the car, the house or reward yourself with something you like to do or go on a road trip to see friends.

Not forward enough. You didn't provide details as to what device is to be used for said slap.

I say 86 the slap and go with the clap.....of the cheeks.
