I've managed to stay out for years. Owning a Chrysler has helped immensely in that respect.

Haha. Good morning. I am actually early! When I am sleeping well, I am usually up around 5. Lately, it's been earlier. Things are good, thank you for asking. School has started again, my daughter's final year of High School. How is life in Belgium? Drying out yet? Getting any more time away from work? I think you need an assistant.

Hotter jalapenos are the ones that have brownish crinkles on the skin, but the fruit is still firm. If the skin is all smooth, no lines, no "smile lines" they will have less heat.

That's interesting. Is that true for all types of peppers or just jalapenos?

Well, in thinking about it, I could sort of see how it might apply to most peppers (I don't know too many peppers though), but logically, you take say a red bell pepper - very smooth, no lines, and sure enough, it has no heat at all.

On the other hand, a scotch bonnet pepper has many lines and is crinkly and has lots of heat.

Jalapenos are somewhere in between, I don't notice many lines in the ones available at my grocery store, but there are some.

Interesting, I might have learned something useful today.
