Now that my assigned ship has docked at Sparrows Point, MD, the app and website have moved my status code backward from 195 to 193, so it's like clockwork, if your clock is right twice a day.

Welcome aboard! It might indeed take some time. Fortunately, things seem to be getting back to normal after a massive Integrated Braking System recall that left hundreds of thousands of G60's stranded in various states of delivery.

I'm down to my last 2 week or so before delivery (in theory) and I ordered my 540 on June 17th. Your experience will likely be much more positive (and faster).

In the interim period, lots of discussions about the generation and specific models. We will all support you, if you get impatient. lol.

Posted the above around Thanksgiving. Picking the car up today and of course a major snow and ice storm is expected this weekend! LOL.

At least mine will be garaged at the ceramic coating detailer's shop during the storm, but I still shouldn't have jinxed myself like that.

Picked it up yesterday, drove it 4.5 miles to the detail shop for ceramic coating. Picking it up tomorrow afternoon which will give me just enough time to take it on one drive out to dinner and back with my wife before Snowmageddon arrives (or doesn't) and it spends 2-4 days not going any darn place (or doesn't).

Don't ask how many times I've opened the app to see that it's still sitting at the detail shop, still with 14 miles on the odometer. Admitting to such a thing would be embarrassing.

It's funny you should say that. When I left mine at the shop to get tinting done, I put it in valet mode, but later learned that it was a mistake to do so. When putting tint on the inside of the car, the detailer normally turns off all interior climate control because they do not want anything blowing dust around within the car (to avoid dust specks getting under the tint film). Since valet mode doesn't allow them to turn off the climate control, they had no way to turn off the fan, so I had to take it out of valet mode for them to do their job. You may not have that problem with ceramic coating, or a real valet situation, but just be aware of that limitation, in case it will be relevant one day.

I wouldn't fault you for checking the app though! I checked it a few times when my car was left for tinting and ceramic coating. I even used the app to look at the remote cameras one night just to see where the car was kept. As it turns out, it was right where it should be overnight - in their closed garage in the detailing bay. When you're a new owner, you worry about your baby.
