My cousin actually died on one when when I was in my 20's. Very sad.

Im sorry to hear. A kid I knew as a kid died on one a couple years back. Helmets aren't mandatory in my area, which is nuts in my opinion.

It really is sad. Some of the nicest people I know are bikers.

I thinks so, as well. I think it's insane to ride without proper equipment. I've never seen the road lose in a battle vs. human skin.

This. I mean, yea there are a lot of bikers who ride dangerously...but there are many more drivers who don't pay attention/can't drive for shit.

I always have some kids who will pull up next to me at a red light and ask me if I'm hot in the LA summers... They ask this because they are usually in a wife beater and maybe a vest, if that... With gloves that end before the wristbone... So I always tell them the same thing... Yeah I'm hot in my leather jacket, but I get to go home and wash off the sweat... You're potentially looking at 9 months of skin grafts where they cut the skin off of your ass to utilize...

Won't ride without my helmet either... Made that mistake once...
