I'm on the last episode of Reacher. It's decent not great. It really gives me network TV vibes at times. I'll likely tune in if there's a second season. Was really hoping it would be better. Jack Ryan is a better series in everyway IMO. Can't wait for it to return for a new season.

I got caught up in the Netflix series "Inventing Anna" starring Julia Garner, it's amazing how gullible people can be. After watching Tinder Swindler last week, I see a trend...

We started 'Inventing Anna' last night. My wife isn't sold on Garner as the protagonist. I suspect she'll grow on us though. Incredible story.

Watchin git now, well trying to. The dialogue is UNBELIEVABLY quiet and everything else SO UCKING LOUD so i am constantly on the remote trying to adjust the sound.
Drives me absolutely batshit crazy. I am 20 minutes in, tough sledding, really is, regardless of sound issues. |

Ok so Raised by wolves, watched 2 episodes. The quiet dialogue/super loud everything else is maddening, really is. I mean this is always an issue for some fucking reason but never experienced it as bad as it is on this show. To give you an idea, for dialogue I have my TV sound on 15, when the scene changes to action etc I set it to 2. It's ridiculous.
The show itself, it's ok, i may give it a go, it's not great though tbh and i can already see it tying itself in knots. |

I was going to say go into your A/V receiver and turn up the center channel as that's typically where most of the dialogue comes from. I've had surround sound setups since college (so 17+ years), so I forget that many still don't. |

Not really a series but I have been watching a couple dark documentaries that have been REAL interesting!
We Need to Talk About Cosby, which as you can imagine, is about the rise and fall of Bill Cosby. There is so much stuff that he did good from the start of his career that I just never knew about. The thing that drives me nuts is the show lets you know about all the good he did, show the nostalgic things from my childhood, then they destroy the image by conversing on his assaults. I mean its insane The other is Secrets of Playboy. Now I always figured the Playboy mansion was a freakfest and what not but the shit that went on there was effin DARK! Hef was a sick sick dude, not the nice pervy grandpa in silk robes 24/7 we all thought he was. Both of these are really interesting and I definately recommend them. Honorable mention "Janet Jackson". Chronicles her life from a little kid all the way up to now. Hits on the infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction and the unequal negativity that she carried after that event. |

2. Did you really say "nice pervy grandpa?" A guy who ran a porn empire for decades, did you think he was Mr. Rogers? I'm sorry if that's not how you meant to come off, but it sounds really sympathetic toward these guys. |

OT: I never knew what the big fuss was about the infamous 'wardrobe malftn', she had a nipple pastie on, wasn't even arguably or technically nude. The Europeans are right, Yankees are such prudes, in addition to getting fooled that this was an 'accident'.

Gomorrah on HBO Max. Just found out about it. Think Sopranos meets Narcos. It's about the gang wars in Naples. Has to be watched in Italian if you can deal with subtitles. The English dub just doesn't do the show justice. I just marathoned the first season over the weekend just finishing tonight and I want to start season 2 right now.
