Finally a return to Oregon weather -- cool and rainy. We still have dirty snow berms that haven't completely melted. Puh-leese, weather gods, no more snow!

Sympathies to the Californians. Stay safe and dry. I think my daughter in Mammoth Lakes is *still* getting beaucoup snow!

More pineapples heading my way. Talking 1.5-3" Tuesday/Wednesday. This one might include some 30-50MPH winds too.

Yep. Setting up the pump today for the backyard. We probably won't get the winds, though.

We're definitely in our 'you pick it' part of the year. Personally, I favor the warm and sunny days.

To keep up with the weekly rain/snow trend we've been having.. 15-20mm rain expected for Friday. It has almost been timed perfectly to the day this year.

2.72 inches of rain since rain began this morning and counting. Rainfall rate has been varying between .30 inches per hour to as high as .62 inches per hour. I've lived here my whole life (except the Army deal) and this storm is going down as one of the heaviest in memory.

We are scheduled to get 2.2 inches in the next 24 hours, which is a lot for us. Will be pumping out the backyard, I’m sure.

Think I read somewhere that if we got this much rain for the next eight years that we’ve got so far this season we would be out of the megadrought that we are currently in.

When I got home from work there was about 1.3" in my 5-gallon rain gauge. This morning it's a little over 4"
No major flooding on the way to work. There are a couple of turf fields that always become lakes since they cut a layer of dirt with each crop. Small lake this morning.

Jump onto rock, then tight-rope across the log. Problem?

We have about a week between storms, so who knows whether it will actually appear. I thought we were having a water board meeting this week, I'm excited to hear how much the water level has risen in our well. We were dipping close to 120' a few months ago, last month we were at 96'. I did see about 10 days ago that at least one local settling pond had been filled to recharge the aquafer.

Another overcast day here in OKC, it's started sprinkling a bit.

If this is what weather is like in the PNW, I understand certain things. The constant gray is horrifically depressing.
