Taking a stroll through the local BMW used car lot yesterday we spotted this rare beast. And a diesel no less.

Maybe this dude felt that by scratching the colour off would be less offensive to real ///M owners.

Personally, I could care less what people do with their cars. I mostly find it funny and have enjoyed this thread many times since it started and just wanted to add to it.

I just bought an X5 2007 imported from Japan to New Zealand. There are heaps of these Jap cars on the road. The dealer sold it as a "Sports Package" but all it had was black alloy wheels and lots of fake badges like X-Drive. I wasn't fooled but it is still a bit confusing!

In Japan they tore out the entertainment system and satnav so it only has bc onboard computer, not iDrive. I have some questions about that.

Then I hold BC it says Prog but I have not been able to find out what to do next eg to reset the fuel consumption computer. And BMWUSA.com only has an iDrive manual for download. Now what? Someone said that the BC button only works in British Columbia...not NZ.

Oh ok, it corresponded to the 320d in Europe (~180 hp), I assumed it would correspond to the 325d, which was a tuned version of that 4-cylinder engine and had a dual exhaust even before LCI.

they are ALL 328d single exhaust here. Don’t even have the dual tip retrofit option like 320d do elsewhere because of different exhaust compared to ROW.

Wife wouldn't let me take a photo but at Hard Rock Casino Tampa I saw a 320i with a RS4 badge on the opposite side of the 320i badge.
