Honestly, I would feel bad having someone pay for an entire vacation. Dinners, flowers, small stuff- sure. I've always paid for my share of big ticket items. I guess I'll have to figure out how to be more high maintenance.

I'm not complaining, it was just the fact of no mutual respect. We were together kind of young, she was 18 I was 20. We argued after about a year about nonsense, so figured it was just a maturity thing. 4 years later it was still running in circles so I ended it. It wasn't because she was hot, it was because I genuinely cared about her, loved her, and enjoyed spending time and doing things with her. Just couldn't stand walking on eggshells any longer. It really sucked, but that's life I suppose.

I do nice things for people I genuinely care about. Friends, family, and relationships. We are all in this world together and I enjoy treating everyone with respect and to nice things.

What Ax said, and there's always the hope that maybe that one more thing you do for her will make her happy, but years go by and it's still only take, take, take.

Or you know, you had a mother who was that way and from an early age you were used to supporting her and helping around the house with the family so being needed by a woman is just what you're used to. But I'm just an armchair psych. lol
