I think it’ll depend on whether or not the VPC goes off flawlessly. lol, I’m afraid to hope, for such a Swiss watch-like performance. With an arrival on December 22nd, I’m mentally planning for the first week of January.

Update:

So apparently, my 5’er was not at Bremerhaven after all. Which is odd because I could have sworn the BMW CS person mentioned it to me some time ago. Perhaps they were guessing.

At any rate, the automated system just informed me that it left Zeebrugge on December 8th aboard the Polaris Highway, and is due into Baltimore on December 17th. Definitely increase the odds of it being a New Years gift.

I am hoping for a late January delivery meaning that instead of the 45 - 90 days until it was delivered now looking at 7 months. That is if the upcoming promised strikes don’t slow it down.

Todd, this is the exact same thing I was told about an hour ago. My car left yesterday on the Polaris highway due in Baltimore the 17th. I spoke to the broker I worked with and he confirmed he sees the same thing. I asked what are the chances I see the car before the new year and he said it’s possible if there are no things out of the ordinary. This seems like good news but I’m hesitant to trust anything at this point lol.

Mine finally entered 150, about two weeks after entering 112. If I look at the prodDate, though...

Once it gets close to that prod date, things will move fast assuming they don't have a halt in production due to recall issues or part shortages. My 2025 540i started production near the end of November and will likely be at my dealership by the end of December.

That production date had been previously given to me months before, the fact it's in 150 already means that it's inaccurate now. I suspect it'll start moving through the production process before the end of the month.

It’s definitely possible it’ll start sooner, but also not uncommon (at least over the last 6 months) for it stay at Status 150 for 3-4 weeks. Let’s hope for the best!

Trust the production date. It's typically very accurate. "Production begins" is a misnomer. Nothing is being assembled. It's just that the build is locked and parts are being gathered. Expect it to move to exterior assembly begins, etc. a few days before the production date. That's when the car is truly being produced.

True. Mine went into 150 for around 3 weeks before it actually started production. After that it went like clockwork And I received my vehicle about 2 weeks later than predicted due to Spanish Customs and registration delays, my personal travel, and the weather damaging the dealership and they were unable to deliver because they were busy recovering from the damage.
