I kinda agree. I opened mine up the other night to get something out and blindly had to rummage through by feel to find what I was looking for. For the driver that needs to not take their eyes off the road for very long a light in the compartment would have helped. Just say'n that is not the ultimate driving machine in that regard...

Admittedly when I lived there I was a student so my vehicle stayed registered in my home state…I was blown away I had to pay a city income tax and also the different liquor laws.

Here is a photo of the box and what the wheel lock looks like. The photo of the triangle holder shows what the key looks like. There are different types. Some have the weird squiggly line, but these are better IMHO.

Depending on the state it expires your birth month. Some others just give a year from when it was registered.

This was kinda by choice. The three months was pro-rated, however he should have been asked if he would like a 2 or 3 year sticker with pro-rating that first year.

Yeah, they also sent me a sticker with my social security number on it this year. The instructions were to center it in the top middle of the plate where it’s clearly visible. 😜
