i5 scheduled for production! What's your build?

So, after ordering yesterday my car is already in production today and scheduled for completion 11/13!

I’m also Tanzanite Blue with Copper Brown/Atlas gray. I think that combo looks good together. I opted for the bronze accents as they also look sharp with the brown. Apparently my delay in build was Tanzanite Blue. It pushed me from production week 44 to 45. I guess they try to run colors together on the production line and more people order the basic colors. So you will be on the same schedule as me. Congratulations on your purchase!

Since the car is almost certainly dipped during the production process, I'd imagine that they do have a schedule and will move things around based on paint dipping availability. They have been building the first batches being sent to dealers, and most dealers don't stray too far from the basic colors.

My car went in to final quality check today, so it looks like they are able to maintain a good production speed given we ordered around the same time.

Was at my dealer yesterday for service and they had a M60 in Black Sapphire Metallic.Actually looked really good.Its probably the only color option to get if you order the car with the high gloss kidney grille because it blends in perfectly with the black part of the lower bumper.They also had one in the showroom in Oxide Grey and the black grille just looks odd with the lower part also being black.The sports seats also looked good with the Alcantara inserts.

Hi guys, first time buying a BMW and EV (long time merc owner but can’t stand the EQ designs), looking forward in joining the community!

Just got news that my car will be scheduled for production around mid-November, here’s my build:

i5 e40
- Carbon Black
- M Veganza Smoke white
- Dark silver M accent w/ aluminium rhombicle
-20" M light alloy wheels star-spoke style 938M bicolour jet black

Packages
- M Sport Pro w/ dark blue brakes
- Iconic (Interaction Bar, CraftedClarity, Iconic Glow)
- Equipment (Live Cockpit/ heads-up display, Parking Assistant Plus, Type pressure, Natural Interaction)

His: 2020 M550iX to 2024 i5 M60

Congrats, Charlie. I am going from a 2021 M550 to an M60 (due in December). You'll have to let me know what you think of that transition.

We also have a 2022 X5 40 which we love. I thought about replacing the M550 with an X5 M60 but the lease numbers on that were just insanity.

When I spoke to the Genius about the production status, when it says scheduled for production, that's just it being given a week number for build. Mine was in the paint booth for a few days before changing from that status.

Tell me about it. I wanted to replace my current car, a nicely specced X5 M50 with more or less the same MSRP +$2K or so, and I'd be $400/month more. I was mentally prepared for $200/month more knowing how the market has been, but was not expecting that.
