Got a Constands Center Stand over Black Friday. So glad I did. Those that routinely work on their own bikes will understand the additional hardware needed to pick up/support the bike. I've been wanting a center stand type stand for a long time since Bursig created the first one. But didn't want to pay the Bursig prices. I'm disappointed with the 800 lb gorilla in the industry....namely Pit Bull Stands. They've been the gold standard for bike stands. But after all these years of center stands being on the market, they have still yet to make a similar one. Just don't understand it. They're missing out on a significant market share. Anyways, I got the Constands for a third of the price of getting a Bursig.
Now the process of lifting my bike is much less complicated and I can now easily maneuver my bike anywhere in my garage for storage without having to the back and forth shuffle I did previous to push the bike into place. My RR lifted for storage: The previous way I worked on my bikes and for storage: |

Pic of the adapter bracket and where it mates with the frame: And this pic is my OCD on display. The sleeve/insert that has to be bolted into the frame came as bare aluminum. I didn't like how it just stuck out on the bike. I'm sure most wouldn't notice. But I do. So I got it powder coated for $10 in black. So happy I did it: This is where I purchased my stand. https://www.motea-shop.com/en_us/mot...-paddock-stand Input your bike info into the website. Once you do that, select the option to see the central stands option to cut out all the other stuff you're not interested in. If the options come up where you can buy an adapter plate separately or the stand with the adapter plate, then they have a fitment for your bike. If you only see the central stands offered up without an included adapter plate for your bike, they don't have a fitment for it. I did this with my 04 ZX-10R to see if I can get an extra adapter plate for it and nothing came up. They're currently running a 35% off coupon code which putting in my information ended up being only $10 more than what I paid over Black Friday. I paid $244 shipped. There are also two different stand types: Power-Evo and Classic. The Power-Evo is what I got and is cheaper than the Classic. I was thinking of getting the Classic solely because it folds. But opted to have the stability of a fixed center post. Also, the Power-Evo uses a safety pin setup which locks into the center post via pre drilled holes. The pull knob to release the spring loaded pin also has an additional locking mechanism where you twist the knob and it locks the pin in place. You can't pull the pin out without turning the knob to release it. The Classic has a ratcheting type safety mechanism. If you want to compare, here's the website for Bursig which are the creators of these center stand designs. https://www.bursigusa.com/?srsltid=A...bv_D3P6gkvguwB They're much more expensive. Basic black will run you $699 plus $75 flat rate shipping. They do have more fitment options over Constands as they've been in the business longer. Bursig does have a fitment for my old 04 ZX-10R. Let me know if you have any other questions. |

A friend of mine from Italy sent me this picture of his 17 year old daughter who also drives a 1955 Mercedes 300SL race car.
