Am sipping on the Eldorado myself. Bought the Plantation as a christmas gift for my rum-loving brother. I hope I can last till then without opening it for myself lol.

I also got the 15 Sherry cask and it is also a very good scotch.

Saw a Red Beast 21 selling for $229. Has anyone tried that?
Apart from the Teeling Small Batch Irish & the Glenfiddich experiment #4 Fire & Cane I can't think of any more Rum-Finished whiskies. As much as I'd like to indulge in the Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14yo, I can't justify the $140 australian price tag. As long as I can keep picking up the #4 Glenfiddich for $80, I'm happy.

That's not hugely more expensive than here (around $80 US), but it's enough to put it out of my comfort range for buying. I haven't grabbed a bottle of it in a couple of years anyway.

One co-worker bought me a bottle of Skrewball, I hope you falkers were right.

Another picked me up a bottle of Zin-Port at her default winery.

Damn, I'm on call until Jan 6

I've bitten the bullet. I'm thinking we have to spoil ourselves sometimes, it's almost Christmas, and I've worked a bunch of overtime this week. I've bought a bottle of Balvenie Caribbean Cask. I was not disappointed, I love the lingering after-taste. But at this price it is but a treat I shall savour until the bottle is empty.

One of the big liquor stores in Champaign (Binny's) has Jameson's on sale this weekend for $16.99/btl. That's pretty cheap. I'm thinking about fighting the pre-Xmas crowds just to stock up at that price.

$17 is an insane price. For an entry level whiskey, Jameson's is a bit of all right.

Thumbs up

If you have never tried this... Grab some immediately! Especially for my Plantation XO 20 fans. Truly delicious. In fact, this was introduction into Premium Sipping RUMS. I would place it in my TOP 5 Best Rums!

Agreed. Diplomatico is a tasty quaff. I still like Plantation XO 20 and Bumbu better, though.

I like the sweet stuff. Probably why I lean towards the Diplomatico.

I see the Bumbu comes in several kinds. Which do you guys recommend for me considering my tastes?

Left or right?
