Yesterday was a pretty rotten day. I was sick, the dog had blood in his stool and a couple of other negative things occurred.

The icing on the cake is that as I was driving to pick up the dog in stop and go traffic on a 2 lane, the driver in a Dodge Ram (how appropriate) SUV was fuqing with her cell phone and ran into the the i8. I took the hit and managed to position the vehicle so that I didn't end up hitting the vehicle ahead of me.

Nooo!!! That sucks man. Glad you're alright. Doesn't look to be too bad. I just hate having to get any body work done on cars. I have to fix the side skirt on the M3 and I keep putting it off. Such a pain in the ass.

I hate the mere fact that it was hit in a completely unnecessary scenario. There was ample space to stop and she was just jacking around.

Thanks, Aatish.

Not that I can tell. It still drives well and there is no shimmying. I was a low speed impact with no active safety equipment deployment.

From what I'm seeing, the rear body panel and an absorber might just need replacing.

Should just need a bumper. That's kind of best case scenario for an accident.

I don't have a degree in anything. Not even an associates. I can make more money than my friends with degrees if I stay in the industry and take a career that has internal advancement. Manufacturing will always be around, and not to toot the horn, but I'm really good at it and enjoy it.

Only other thing I would want to do is open my own restaurant, because I cook some killer ass meals.

Damn dude, that's a huge bummer to hear but glad you're okay most of all. Time heals all wounds, and I hope you punched her hard enough in the throat that it will take her a long time to heal.

I sat in the car for 15 minutes before I opened the door. I was calm by then. I did ask her, 'What happened?' She said that she just wasn't paying attention. Before we left she said, 'I tell my 3 kids to be attentive when driving at all times and now I'm the one who wasn't attentive and ruined your beautiful car. Mr. K, please accept my apologies.'
