In the last pic Chas is just a few inches from Max, Checo probably can't see because of the HANS constraints but he had to know that Max would be moving over to take the turn.

That was Checo he came from P5 ! That's the '3th row at the start grid mate..

And he damaged Charlie's Ferrari with his dive-bomb !
This could have been worse , like a torpedo for the top-3 drivers !

Checo was in the lead before the traditional brake point, this was no torpedo. Hamilton was a true torpedo when he hit Rus in the similar situation a week or so back.

Watch the video from Checo's point of view, he pulled out in front of Charles, Charles appeared to break to cede the position, but then, just after he disappears from camera view, he lunges back forward to assert his place on track.

Around 0:46 of this video Charles disappears and appears to give up the spot. Then again around 0:48 he lunges forward just as Checo is turning in. Just poor timing on good racing moves from both drivers. This isn't Checo's fault, it isn't Charles' fault, it's just a bad situation for all.

I agree about Lando . Lando is a fantastic driver (no doubt)! But still far from MAX's level , because MAX is 'already unseen in the F1 history !

Yeah . I would love too see Lando in the RB19 or in the RB20 in the 2024 season.
But unfortunately that won't happen..

I mean... max just set the record for the most wins in a season, so the dominance is unprecedented...

The races aren't boring, but Max's race yesterday was boring... Great for him that he won, but there was nothing fun to watch, just solo track laps... That's why he's not getting driver of the day.

he's wrecked more cars in one season than Mazepin has in his entire career by my counting

why shouldn't he be treated the same as Mazepin was, considering Mazepin probably has superior per season DNF record that him by my counting.

You're P5 on the grid with the fastest car of the field and got 71 laps ahead of you in front of your home crowd. You know that P1 and P2 on the grid are battling with P6 and P8 for #2 WCC in the final stage of the season.

You may think what you want, but I guess that we can all agree that this is definitely *NOT* the right time to take major DNF risks in Turn 1. Otherwise #3 in the WDC will thank you after the race for having significantly improved his chance to get your #2 in the WDC.
