If a full optioned new Z06 is under $100k. How the hell would someone be paying $120k walking out the dealer? Paying 20% sales tax, seriously what the hell are you talking about? |

GM finally got it right!! I'm definitely inlove with this car. Stats are impressive and although I would also like a manual gearbox, their DCT is not an option I'm disgusted with. The fact that it's a V8 supefcharged monster makes it appealing with the fact that you don't give up the rumble of a V8 machine with the added benefit of a suitable blower system. Most of the M owners on this site would agree that we chase the supercharger dream for our E92s, well why even do it at this point when GM has taken a step forward to provide us with something that we want- in STOCK form!!

From what I hear the 8L90E shifts faster than the DCT......like the PDK in the Porsche.
Not everyone has to jump on the bandwagon for something that seems to be the best when something can just be tweaked to be a bit better. I'm surprised no one is whining that they aren't using a smaller TT V8 or V6.....well, let me go re-read. |

And there will always be those people that have to HAVE the first of anything, no matter what the extra cost will be. I see the MSRP being in the $85k-$90k range for the C7 Z06.
Dealers will always have a "market adjustment" then when the cars are out for a number of months then they'll start asking for MSRP. Every time I see a car with that "adjustment", I just laugh and wonder what idiot would pay that. |

They're more than silly they just have no patience or not big enough balls to fight back with the dealership and call them out on their stupidity. If the dealer doesn't budge fine, but I would make fun of them like crazy

Yea but the general complaint these past few months, for GM cars, is why not DTC? Why still use the ancient pushrod, gas guzzling V8? Everyone else is using turbo'd V6/I6 that are more efficient and make better power while being connected to a DCT!
I'm glad GM made a auto that isn't a DCT and, though they say, shifts faster than a DCT....I can't wait to see if it does and how it holds up to abuse. |

To be honest, a lot of BMW owners don't either, but we really don't have a choice in that matter. The new M5 sounds like it's been gutted compared to the previous generation. Very sad.

Chevrolet makes one of the best V8 engines around. The new LT1 makes 465 hp, still uses pushrod and gets over 30 mpg. Thats better than the 6 cylinder Carrera. This thing will also probably get high 20's, pushing over 620 hp and torque and avoid gas guzzler tax. Try purchasing any sports car that can match the performance of the z51 stingray or z06 and get numbers like that... It just won't happen. |

If GM can make a engine that makes a lot of power and is just as efficient as the rest. Then what ever use the pushrod. they have proved it still can WORK. |

Also I've sort of heard the M4, they revved the engine at the concept reveal, and there are a few videos of it going around the ring. It does not sound great, just like the M5/M6.
