You are definitely having a better transport experience than I had. Mine was damaged in the North Atlantic by high seas along with 11 other i8's and was delayed by about 3 weeks from the targeted delivery date. No one knew where the car was and I had to call BMW NA to get to the bottom of it. I was so pissed I almost purchased a fully loaded 911 Turbo from their sister dealer.

Heh... the new Porsche will be a better fit anyway! Yeah, I chuckled when I saw Colin roaring in from the Gulf at the same time the Ship was coming down the Atlantic coast - but, it was nothing.

oooh... pet peeves! One of my many linguistic pet peeves is using the term "rate of speed" - as in "he was traveling at a high rate of speed." This seems to have become acceptable usage. Speed is rate, as it measures change in position v. time. Speed is a rate people... stop being sesquipedalian!

Rate is defined thusly... "a measure, quantity, or frequency, typically one measured against some other quantity or measure.
