This is true. It is pretty awesome to feel the breeze while outside taking a pee. Just make sure it's a cross or tail wind.

Sometimes i'll be outside with the dog waiting for him to take his midnight piss and the urge will over take me. That's when I join him by marking my own tree.

Exactly, plus it asserts dominance on other animals that may be wandering around. They're all like "Damn, that tree smells like raging testosterone and badassery, not going near that motha fucka".

Some times the dog will get done with his piss after i'm done and he'll be trotting back to the door and stop. Look around and then put his nose to the ground. Within a few seconds he's locked on to the tree i just watered. He smells it for like 2 minutes! I'm like dude, you follow me into the bathroom when i piss all the time. You KNOW that's mine! It's like he's confused because i didn't piss into a bowl of water or something. Maybe he's just making doubly sure he doesn't need to cover it up with his own.

The bitches though.... apparently my pee brings all the bitches to the yard.

I think if you do literally ANYTHING out of normal operations, it has to confuse the dogs. They are so used to everything being the same, food time, pee time, how humans eat/poo, the slightest change has to be a complete mindfuck.

Mine apparently brings cats. There were turkeys back there last week too. Must have really odd smelling piss.
