ToddRGuy it seems that everything was messed up after those stop sales, even the transport. Now, they seem to be picking up with the manufacturing and also the logistics. Think about it like this... there was no rush to send them to the port when they could not sell them anyway.

My 540 actually wasn’t affected by any of the recalls; neither the IBS or the Steering Spindle issue. To your point, I think they had no logistical ability to move it forwards due to the recalls, and their manufacturing process disintegrated into chaos.

Maybe it did not have any recall because those parts were not installed on the car since they were waiting for solutions, why install something faulty that needs to be replaced anyway... who knows? We are just assuming and making suppositions here while we are waiting for the cars to arrive.

Yeah, mine wasn't either. But I did not have to ship to the US. Mine came straight here by train/Truck. That's why I was the first week 36er to take delivery. Todd however looks like he will be the last. We'll all have a party the day he takes delivery.

Statistically from what I have heard from someone who worked in the industry and also my previous experience, they kind of tend to keep the same ones from November. But, lock in the rates for November if you haven't done so already and that's it. If they change to some better ones for December, then you can use those.

By the way, how long did it take until your car got on a boat from the day it got to the port?

I’ll be curious to know what shipping line it’s on, because nothing left for Galveston or Baltimore on December 1st on Wallenius & Wilhelmsen from Bremerhaven.

Last Galveston ship left 11-28 and last Baltimore ships left 27th and 28th.

I’ve gotten mixed information about that. At one point I read that the status changed about 3-4 days after it was on the ship. And then more recently someone said it changed the same day or the next day after it was onboard, so I don’t know what’s correct or who to believe. lol

If it was on the ship loaded the 27th then this would seem to align with the former statement of 3 or 4 days. Maybe my week 36 540 made it on to the Baltimore 28th ship after all.

Who knows. It probably didn’t because that would be way to logical to assume that a vehicle ordered 5 months before yours and built 12 weeks before yours would actually find its way onto a ship 😂

Just called the genius - mine is indeed on a boat, but not a boat out of Bremerhaven. Mine left Zeebrugge, Belgium yesterday on the Victoria Highway. Due into Baltimore December 10.
