I was told I’d have my vehicle in September. I’m not getting anything from BMWUSA or my dealership.

I was on a ship and now at Port.... Seems either I am going backwards or it is at the port here. First my 550e wasn't part of recall and now it is? Production date of 08/28. Dealer was just "awarded" a second allocation and suggested maybe I take it as it will be built without the recall parts, would have it sometime in December 😔🙄🤬 and maybe faster than them getting the parts for the recall.... I am a patient man but why are the new parts going to new cars when built ones are sitting?

IF my new I7 ever becomes available for me to take delivery, it will be my 7th BMW—but my last one was in 1995. I’ve been driving mostly Lexus & MB’s since then. After all those years, I picked 2024 to try BMW again. Pretty lousy timing on my part. Oh well.

13th for me. My car has been sitting at the port of NY since the beginning of August. As my trade in a 2018 x3 m40 depreciates every day.

Tell your dealer you want your trade value locked in since it is not your fault the deal hasn't happened. Folks have done that and the dealers have agreed.

Just an update from me:

My i5 (e40) had finally left QC purgatory as at the 27th September. Currently in Status 182 - Carrier Handover.

Hopefully, those of you in QC purgatory will see some updates over the coming days.

As yet, there is no recall showing on the vehicle. I'll update again when it's at the dealership to affirm whether the recall has effected the sale.

Always flips back to "at the port" once it arrives in the US. It should be better described on the tracker (e.g., "at the arrival port").

Hi, new to the forum.

I have a 2024 530 with my name on it at the dealer but they are waiting for the part.

Has anyone heard any ETA?

The same situation with my vehicle has been there since August 5th. It keeps on changing and last Friday he said two more weeks. It keeps on changing. I am not sure I believe anything he is saying. They know they may lose sales over this so they are stringing us along.

Yes it will. Meaning none will get offloaded. Those are a VDC should be fine.

I noticed BMW shifted departures for all vehicles to the 11th of October and scrapped early month departures. That allows for roughly 27 days before those ships would land in Baltimore.

I surely hope they can reach an agreement well before that.

How did you determine all departures moved to 10/11? - if so may be mine will be out of QC by then.

Hi Aherman, BMW typically uses Wallenius & Wilhelmsen as their shipper from Bremerhaven.

Above is the link to the intended schedules for the company. You can use Bremerhaven as the departure, and enter whatever port your vehicle is going to be shipped to here in the United States (e.g. Baltimore).

I had posted a schedule earlier in the month, with the dates they indicated at that time; these have now changed. There are no departures early in October to Baltimore, but there were at the time the previous post was made. The earliest is now the 11th.

I'm hoping we'll both be out of QC by then...geesh, could this be any more annoying. lol

My dealer just called and they have the brake part for my 5 series. It will be worked on tomorrow morning, and I should be set for a Saturday delivery.
