Interested to see how you're affected by the additional work. I agree with not adding more protein supplement. Maybe just a normal amount through the extra 150 - 200 call intake you should have. Was that what you were planning on taking in as extra? For the cardio stuff, i would think an additional 100 cal of carb heavy food would be good pre or post mooring workout. Keep the brain in good function for the day.

You should see me weigh myself. Since I can only put weight on 1 leg, I have to balance on 1 foot. There's a process. Yup, it's accurate, my wife did the control (2 feet) and experiment test (1 foot). |

But it's crazy, I meant to tell you that I actually had a couple of chocolate chip cookies and half a glass of 2% milk within 15 minutes of taking my creatine/beta-alanine/caffeine blend and it REALLY changed my fatigue ceiling and stores for endurance during the P90 HIIT. It helps that I do the same routines often so I can channel differences, it was nuts! But I had found research that showed a specific (not overindulgence) macronutrient balance of carbs pre-workout can actually provide a balance for more effectiveness! keep it up man! That's a healthy loss rate. Funny, I came across this, perhaps you will find it interesting, you too Tonka. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/3-ru...rm-weight-loss

Omg! What is it with old dudes and New Balance?
I'm Nike/Jordan's for life. Got some "fashion" kicks but at gym usually roll Nike wrestling or cross training sneakers or Jordan's. |

Honestly, the only thing I would say is to switch your grips between parallel and wide/reverse switch for the lat/chest machines, and moderate your reps to 3 sets of 5. Might not be a good idea to train to failure at this stage since you are recovering, so just do what is manageable for you to hit the numbers.

I'm just now starting to experiment with different types and quantities of food eaten pre, during and post workout. I used to just head out of work and go ride for 20-30 miles without eating anything after lunch. Then just have dinner. Then i started eating lunch about 30 min earlier and having a Quest bar about 1 hour before riding. 20g of protein and 14g of fiber is not optimal for a 90 -120 min cardio session. Realizing this, i started eating about 200 cal of carbs about 30 min before my ride and 150 - 175 during my ride with 20g of protein muscle milk after the ride, then dinner. Today i'm having a blueberry scone pre ride, honey stinger strawberry waffle during and a new Suja drink with 10g of protein after, then dinner. I should burn about 1200 cal tonight and the list above works out to 620 cal consumed. I'm trying to only consume about 50% to 60% of my exercise calories and as the intensity increases, most of that should come from work out fuel rather than indulgence.

How did you find the bolded portion above worked for you? Those are some pretty cool combinations, I'm sure they've contributed positively for you. Any adverse affects? Or I guess you're still experimenting so no conclusions to be made, as of yet? Quote:
