Insurance companies don't have data logs from both cars indicating brake pressure being applied, accurate speeds, gear, steering input, etc.

This was also discussed in the thread last year too.

A full Merc testing video in high res with George and Lewis's on board. Sound starts in the middle. Actively looking for Ferrari.

I do notice Mercedes also doesn't have the double tea tray. Maybe they've missed out or maybe that concept doesn't work with their flow field. Idk maybe simple is better and that's merc's approach, I mean over the years their over body aero was pretty simplistic vs. others. But it does mean they have alot of room for upgrades.

Ok even more merc content, I have no idea why they are posting so much about the w13 but this is more onboard footage front the front wing, side pods, etc. You get a really good look at thow DRS works on these cars to at the 43 second mark. So yeah really interesting.

Oh one more thing to note as I start to understand /learn the Merc concept a bit more, is the notion of: what's better at ducting air to the rear of the car? Large side pods with under cuts or over cuts or no side pod at all? Obviously the latter, nothing there means directly clean airflow. And that's what I'm thinking Merc is doing, especially if you look at the side Angle of the car and realize how thin the coke bottle region is. I think that's what they were talking about when they said they repacked the engine this year. From the side angle it literally looks like the Merc doesn't have side pods.

The more I see these in videos on track the goofier they look.

They simply lack the aggressive stance of the previous cars but I suppose if it truly provides better racing it doesn't matter how they look.

Yeah.HAM had there enough space on both sides ...

HAM refused to overtake MAX there because HAM knew that MAX would get DRS behind him on the straight .

In short : That HAM/MAX incident was a 100% DRS fight !
