I'm an avid Laker fan but I think they'll have a hard time beating the Spurs in 7 games. Therefore, go Hornets!
Boston is shaky right now. Ray "Jesus Shuttlesworth" Allen took his vacation early. Doc Rivers is the worst coach left in the playoffs. Rondo looked literally scared in game 7. That is NOT going to work against Detroit (and I HATE Detroit). I really can't call the game tonight, too close to call given that the Spurs should win but playing in Nawlins is worth a few points in itself. BTW, Jordan Farmar is NOT a rookie! (I'm a UCLA fan as well) |

Agreed. I was in favor of sitting him for the rest of the playoffs and going with Sasha at point to relieve Fish. Open up some roster space for the other UCLA guy (Ariza) to play a little clamp down defense and give some energy.

I foresee Lakers > Celtics in Game 7.
Last second buzzer beater, by Kobe Bryant... 20 footer fade away, over Pierce.., top of the key..... followed by..Riot in south central LA.

dude it's a lakers' secret plan. Play him against one of the best PGs (Williams) to make him look bad so they can sign him for cheap in the summer for a long period of time! Phil Jackson is going to let him get slaughtered in the next round too hahahahaha

Good thing about the triangle is that you don't really NEED a great PG. The PG does have to be able to play defense and not get completely destroyed off the dribble though. Rules Farmar out. Bring on...THE MACHINE! |

What's your reasoning behind that statement?

I hate the Spurs and the Lakers don't match up well against them at all. Who's gonna guard TD, Gasol? That's a joke.
The two teams I hate the most in the NBA right now: Spurs and Pistons (Deeee-troit baaasketbaaall). Two teams in the way of a storied Celtic-Laker matchup: Spurs and Pistons. Two teams most likely to drive the NBA into financial ruin due to loss of advertising dollars: You guessed it. I might have to bring myself to actually root for the Celtics... Naw, I can't do it. I'll just root against the Pistons. |

For the others: -Gasol can't guard TD and will get in foul trouble -Kobe turns Bowen into a superstar when they play because Kobe's busy helping off to slow down Duncan -Fish will consistently get beat off of the dribble by TP and get little help from the interior because Gasol is soft (basically a 7 foot small forward) and let's not even mention Farmar -Kobe should not guard Ginobili, that's foul trouble waiting to happen. But, if Ginobili continues to start the Lakers have no choice (otherwise, put Sasha on him) -No one in the NBA can guard Kobe but Bowen is just dirty enough to cause problems All in all, not a great matchup like I said. And, of course they are gonna win a lot. That's WHY people hate teams. You don't go around hating losing teams. |

Are you sure about this??? You probably thinking about the Rodney King riot in '93. I basically grew up in SoCal for the last 27 yrs and I don't recall riots associated with any championship teams, let alone the Lakers. Lakers fans are so friggin laid back, they don't really care, and for them, championships are a must and expected. I know they love the parades though

And so here we go, 2004 all over again, Lakers vs Spurs, conference finals, except this timew without Big Daddy, Cactus, Aristotle, blah blah blah...I'm sure the Spurs remember Mr. Fisher very well.
Lakers in 7!

-bowen does love those corners! -I think fish is strong enough to at least keep up with him a little bit. He bodied up williams pretty well but williams is a chunky boy himself. -I remember one time when phil jackson had kobe guard Tony Parker. I believe he is a smart enough player to guard Ginobili well. -Yes, Bowen may be a little dirty, but Kobe seems in control of himself and his emotions. I have no doubt in my mind that he'll be fine. besides, i don't think oberto and thomas are quick enough to guard odom. I bet Duncan will guard him |

It would be great for the NBA to have L.A. and Boston again for the Finals. But I think Detroit will be the spoiler for Boston. Boston hasn't won on the road(playoffs), Detroit has. Boston's only real go to guy is Pierce but him and Prince might cancel each other out; Garnett and Allen need to really step-up against Detroit.

We have to remember that both of these coaches are masters of in-series adjustments. It will be a very interesting series. |
