When's the last time anyone's been bowling? One of my friends' girlfriends is having a birthday party at a bowling alley tomorrow night, Lucky Strike DC. Reviews are questionable, but it's not my party.

Direct answer to your question: went like 2 years ago (only time in last 10-15 years) and it was kinda fun. Took the kids. Schooled then all cuz #meandad doesn't give participation awards.

Hehe! Okay cool. They have a little bar area, as well. I plan on eating before I go cuz, y'know, healthy.

I haven't had an alcoholic beverage in about 3-4 months. I wonder how I'm going to react to a Long Island or something. LOL.

Yep. I drink my whiskey's and cognac's at home, I prefer to enjoy those.

Last time I bowled was about 2 months ago.

Used to be in a league with my roommates a couple years back; never again. 32 week long season was torture by the end. The plus side was that we were the "young guys" by about 25 years and had a reputation for out-drinking all of our opponents, which is a win in my book. When they handed out stats at the end of the season, we saw that our average dropped a consistent 10 pins per game as the night went on, mostly due to alcohol consumption.

Throw the heaviest ball you can comfortably handle, and if you throw a straight ball, take a step to the side and aim for the head pin at an angle.

But only do this on the first game. That one is serious, the rest become trick shots and showing off for the girls. Plus the alcohol will be hitting you if you're doing it right, so it's best to let go of trying at that point.

You now have all of my bowling knowledge. Carry the torch young grasshopper.
