The car is close to totaled, and I suppose he learned his lesson..., he just as his way of speaking/posting, and we should not condemn him for that. Feeling bad does not equal to "knowing the consequences" Remember what you have done to your car, and imagine what might have happened... I am sure he wont do it ever again. |

With sport bikes it was dings on the frames. Any dings bike is totaled. For BMWs... I dunno. Shame so many assholes are still hanging out to leg hump ya. Good Luck getting it all worked out. It's a hassle but in the grand scheme isn't worth loosing any sleep over.

I love how all of you douchebags are disrespecting this careless driver at 50mph when others are flaunting 100+MPH driving in another forum.
That's pathetic, considering we see what happened with that 335i 110MPH crash on LI. $7,800... he got off easy; he has his life, as do others. Why don't you all go disrespect the idiots that will really kill someone in the "top speed" thread?! This kid has learned his lesson. Everyone has one of those days now and then. |

1. I haven't given anyone props for crashing anything
2. He's doing 50 in a residential neighborhood where his pic shows the speed limit behind him at 25 mph. 3. How hard did he have to work to pay for the damn thing? |

There is a massive difference between going over 100 on the highway and 50 on a residential street. One is almost totally straight and has no stop signs and one has sharp 90 degree turns and stop signs. Big difference.

You're right, on the street he's only going 25 above the speed limit and on the highway it's 50. When we remember laws of physics, you remember that 50 miles per hour into something going 0 miles per hour puts out less force then someone going 100 miles per hour into something 0 miles per hour, or even better a synergistic effect of one vehicle traveling at 100 miles per hour and a 2nd at 70mph in the opposite direction. Well that, and the increased breaking time/stopping time and more dangerous emergency maneuvers. The person at 50mph is less likely to roll then the one going 100mph. The list does go on like 6 lanes of traffic with vehicles at speeds of greater then 55mph... Then again the force of the seatbelt on the chest of someone at 100mph is more likely to cause a cardiac contusion then one at 50mph, and if a seatbelt is not worn, death is imminent at 100mph. You're right, big difference; thanks for clearing that up. |
