Not one person besides Kobe showed up. 08 all over again. But I still have hope that the lakers will take it.

It is kobe's fault. He usually get his teammates involved throughout this whole post season. I don't know why he took matters in his own hands this game.

You cannot win the game alone. And the Celtics know that. They try to shut down every player except for Kobe. If you have been keeping up with the commentators after the game such as Michael Wilbon and Magic Johnson. They clearly said that Kobe needs to score ~25 points. 38 points is way too much for a NBA finals. Kobe took most of the possession in his own hand. There was no ball movements. He created his own plays and did not get his team mates involved at all. Kobe took very very difficult and low percentage shots. As this series progresses, it is starting to look more like a replay of the 2008 Finals. Kobe trying to take matters in his own hands. Even though they have one of the best defensive player in the league, I think Ariza would of been a better fit in the Lakers than Artest. Artest has no clue what he is doing. He is just dribbling in circle then pass it back out. |

imo Kobe had to take matters into his own hands this game. The whole team was playing like trash. No one was aggressive or making any shots. The whole team was shooting like shit.

I think Kobe had to for this game, he realized that the whole team sucked. IMO if he didnt do what he did they would have lost by a lot more. The team always depends on Kobe in tough situations so why not today? They could have saved the game with better defense, they knew their offense was weak they should have atleast put pressure on the celtics instead of standing around and letting them take wide open shots.

Kobe had to take over, he didn't have a choice.
Artest, Pau, Odom, Fisher - none could make shots. Pau was off all night, his jumper that's usually money didn't fall. Artest is an utter idiot and I hate him more as each day goes on (how the FUCK do you miss two huge free throws that would have brought us to a 3-point, 1 possession game???) Bynum, either Phil is saving him for Game 6 or he's just done. I mean he had fluid drained again, maybe he'll feel a little better on Tuesday. KOBE is the ONLY Laker that stepped it up. Only one. We CAN'T and WON'T win without the rest of the team (supporting cast, bench - where the FUCK are you? Wake up) Kobe played his HEART OUT, 38 point, valiant effort, marvelous effort, but it wasn't and will never be enough against a very good, resilient team that never gave up. We need Artest, Pau and Odom to play solid, with a pinch of Bynum on the inside getting rebounds and a few blocks and we'll win the series. If we see the Kobe show and no supporting cast it's already over...

Did you watch the game? The rest of the team was involved, they were just playing terribly. Kobe picked up the team and put them on his shoulders.

While I'm not a true fan of Lakers or Kobe for that matter, but Kobe didn't screw up anything. The team couldn't get their shit together.

Artest is a pussy... that Rondo flop really showed he has been watching too much World Cup soccer. I nearly pissed myself when jeff van gundy was screaming, "Queensbridge! Queensbrige!"

Artest is really lost with the ball he's horrible on the ofensive side. Then the only thing he's good at defensive couldn't even do it right let paul Peirce have a big night. Paul Peirce drove by him like twice with no problem which is unaceptable. Those two free throws I knew he would miss as soon as I saw that weak ass layup he put up.

wish we had ariza now. I would have loved to have his youth on this team as well as his ability to penetrate the defense because the Lakers offense is stagnant. Artest is a joke. I mean come on, anyone who bounces after they shoot does not know how to play basketball. Gasol has to re-post once his too far away from the basket.

lakers said "they have boston right where they want them" whatever that means. I was begging Kobe to go into selfish mode and i think Phil gave him the green light to hog the ball since everyone else was playing like shit.

The refs are really listening to David Stern about getting this series to 7 games.
Lakers in 7
