LOL

I'm ready for murders in those situations. I'm really good at road rage, and I know exactly how to set off the other guy, so I can get into a fight when enough nice and lovely has been flowing around me.

I know, someone will shoot me one day, but oh man, violence is so much fun once in a while. Even verbal will do.

I'm a freak, I know.

We just celebrated our 15 year anniversary Now a RN her salary nearly doubles mine. She worked hard to get to where she is and deserves it!

Be honest. How would you feel if your wife’s W2 put yours to shame?
My wife makes double what i do. I'm happy about it.

My mom is pulling 110k/yr WITH pension in a podunk town, she can most definitely afford a BMW. She's been at the same place for 25 years though. Nurses usually start in the 50's, but they can get into the 6 figures, especially if they're unionized.

One thing is for certain, I wouldn't do their job for 200k/yr. Those people work their asses off.

Agreed. I decided to meet my wife for lunch. I will never go there again. What she does and sees is unreal. Nurses are angels in my book.

Nurses can and do afford BMW's.

I have both physicians and nurses in my family. And I can tell you one thing. After having seen nurses in action and hearing ALL the stuff they have to do, I have the utmost respect for them and their profession! Shit ain't easy. Not by a long stretch. And there is all sorts of BS they put up with from irate and filthy patients to all sorts of politics and red tape.

Church! My sweet mom comes home, plays with her dogs, then proceeds to tell everyone about the nasty wound she had to dump sterile maggots into that day. It's hilarious hearing my mom being so cavalier about treating wounds with maggots. She also runs a Hyperbaric Chamber and used to run the education department.

Nurses ain't nothin to fuck with.

Is this an hourly position I.e. Overtime, nights, weekends, holidays? Again to each his own. On the one hand I respect anybody who works hard and long hours. At the same time there are some who make much more with more "brainy" type of work (pushing papers).

Just my limited observation, nurses are really rude. I think they are treated like s*** by doctors and PAs, and they're probably burnt out.

I must say, however, maternity nurses seem to be the opposite and really cheerful and pleasant.

That would be so boring imho. I can't imagine an able bodied man sitting home all day and enjoying it, just not what a man is all about...he should be driven to support his family

There is no way I could sit at home. This past three day weekend felt like an eternity. I actually looked forward to going back to the office.

I love my job. Wifey says I'd be crazy to ever accept a promotion because she thinks I'm happier in my current job than she's ever seen me. Mondays (or any other weekday) don't bother me any more. The extra green would be nice, but maybe she's right and I should stay put.

John, I can definitely see this. But I can say the same about just about every "service type" worker I come across. It's all about the "individual". Think about it: Here nurses are literally caring hand and foot for sickly people! Some of these patients are rude, nasty (physically) etc and yes, they have to deal with Docs, most of whom have a God-Complex. But for the most part, I've been pleased whenever I have gone to the hospital to visit or even admitted.
Now Public Official/Office Workers...? Fuhgetaboutit! Those mofos are EPIC aholes typically.

I didn't mention it because i didn't think it mattered. The lane i was in isn't the problem. That highway has 8 lanes, 4 on the North bound, 4 on the South bound. He had plenty of room to go around just like he was doing earlier. This guy was swerving from lane to lane but decides to tailgate when he got into the lane i was driving.

So @BenchRacerYo, I'm not the same as the people who have pissed you off on the road in the past.

I won't even bother commenting anymore because it's no longer worth my happiness in life and it's throwing this thread way off topic.
